Ashleigh is a beautiful chocolate brown mustang with three white socks – two on her back legs and one on her front right leg. Born in 2021, Ashleigh came to us at just four months old with another colt named David. They were originally from Rio Rancho, NM, but a man in Albuquerque intervened and saved them from going to slaughter. The man called Masleña Rescue and said that he already had too many of his own horses to take in these two. Both Ashleigh and David had no experience with people except for being forced into trailers. We knew right away these little ones were coming home to live and thrive with us where they could be safe and happy without fear of mistreatment or slaughter. Ashleigh is currently learning to be halter broke. She’s coming along well with opening up and learning to love her wonderful life. She is not the scared filly she once was when she got here. Ashleigh loves to hang out with her buddy Auto and they’re inseparable. When she’s ready, she’ll reveal her beautiful personality. We are excited and blessed to be able to see her come into her own.
